You know what you want: a knife that delivers on its promise. No compromise on steel, no wobble in the handle, no cheap finish. That's exactly why we carry Spyderco.
Our selection covers every purpose, from compact everyday carry to the true icons of the knife world. We put special focus on knife laws in your country: legal carry rules for locking one-hand knives vary widely across Europe, so we always keep a careful selection of models that ship without a locking mechanism, including the popular UK Penknife in several versions.

Thumb to the hole, a quick flick, blade’s open. Once you’ve got the Spyderco flick dialed in, you do the whole thing in your sleep — and the Mantra 4 CF is built exactly for that. At its core this is a classic EDC folder from Spyderco. The blade measures 8.5 cm, wears a clean satin finish and is made from 8Cr13MoV. No supersteel, and it isn’t trying to be: the steel is corrosion-resistant, easy to maintain and back to shaving-sharp in a few minutes on a stone. For a knife you actually use every day instead of babying, that’s a pretty relaxed combination. The handle is what really sets it apart from the standard Mantra. Carbon fiber meets G10, and the scales carry a peel-ply texture — that slightly rough, almost gritty surface that gives you real grip in the hand without getting annoying. Inside, the blade rides on ball bearings and is held by a liner lock. At 59 g and 10.6 cm closed, the thing disappears deep and discreet into your pocket thanks to the repositionable deep-carry clip. Lefties get along with it to a degree, and the clip can be removed and swapped over. One thing worth knowing if you’re in Germany: the Mantra 4 opens one-handed via the thumb hole and locks with a liner lock. That makes it a one-hand knife under §42a, so it may not be carried in public without a legitimate reason. Buying, owning and transporting it in a closed container is no problem at all. As a companion at the workbench, on the desk or out in the field at home and on the road with good reason, it plays its strengths to the full.

The Spyderco NAND is anything but ordinary. Designed by mechanical engineer Paul Alexander, this knife blends smart engineering with a unique, futuristic aesthetic. What makes it stand out: the NAND doesn’t lock. It works like a modern friction folder, using an innovative ball-joint mechanism that holds the blade open without a locking system. And that’s exactly what makes it legal to carry in many places across Germany – a big plus for everyday use. Specs that matter: Blade steel: Böhler M390 – incredibly wear-resistant, stainless, and razor sharp Wharncliffe blade shape – straight, precise, practical Titanium handle – lightweight, strong, beautifully machined Deep-carry wire clip – rides low in the pocket, barely noticeable Reversible clip – for both left and right-hand carry The NAND is probably the most advanced non-locking Spyderco ever made – a perfect example of how innovative a slipjoint-style knife can be today.

With a serrated Magnacut blade Weighs only 48 grams Yellow FRN handle scales Legal, extra bitey, and bright yellow Question: what is bright yellow, won’t rust, and is also a seriously sharp tool? Exactly – the UKPK Salt with a Magnacut blade. It’s no secret that knife laws in Europe are significantly stricter than in the US. As one of the first major manufacturers to address this, Spyderco created the UKPK (UK Penknife) – a true European classic in their lineup, designed to comply even with the very strict knife laws in the UK. Two key factors come together here: thanks to the Spyderhole, the knife can be opened one-handed, but it does not lock. Instead, the blade is held in place by a strong backspring (similar to a traditional Swiss Army knife). This makes the UKPK legal to carry in many jurisdictions. Despite its compact size, non-locking design, and ultra-lightweight construction, the UKPK is a highly capable cutting tool. The thin blade, combined with a high flat grind, delivers outstanding cutting performance in everyday tasks. This is clearly designed as a slicer – not a folding pry bar. The Magnacut steel used in the Salt series is extremely corrosion-resistant, making it ideal even for use in harsh environments. The bright yellow FRN (fiber reinforced nylon) handle scales are built without steel liners, resulting in a construction that is both lightweight and durable. At just 48 grams, the UKPK is barely noticeable in your pocket. The deep-carry pocket clip can be mounted on either side, making it suitable for both right- and left-handed users.
FRN handle CTS BD-1N blade with four-way reversible clipThe EDC Classic Don't let the name of this absolute classic scare you - this is not a combat knife or any other kind of military stabbing weapon. The Para Military 2 - or PM2 - is one of the most popular and versatile knives Spyderco has in its lineup. Originally introduced in 2010, this all-around knife has been improved upon over the years, making this cutting tool an absolutely mature design by now.The incredibly ergonomic handle, is designed for maximum control when working with the knife and allows you a variety of ways to wield the blade. Really great is the so-called Fingerchoil (an indentation at the base of the blade), which makes it possible for you to grip the knife very close to the cutting edge to transfer maximum force to the cutting movement. Thanks to the attached filings (jimping), you have an absolutely secure grip even in this position, and the knife never threatens to slip from your grasp thanks to the rough FRN surface of the handle. The steel plates are recessed in the handle material and generously milled out to save weight. An absolute highlight of the PM2s is the Compression Lock. At first glance, this locking technology looks like a rear-positioned liner lock - but a closer look reveals that this is not the case. With the Compression Lock, the liner moves between the blade root and the stop pin on the back. To destroy this lock, the steel liner between the blade root and the pin would have to be crushed, which is virtually impossible. This construction makes the Para Military 2 one of the most stable pocket knives the market has to offer. The blade is made of CTS BD-1N steel. The fully raised flat grind provides optimal cutting performance and the fine point allows you to do the finest detail work. Thanks to the reversible pocket clip on both sides, the knife is ideal for both right and left-handed users, while the large lanyard hole allows you to attach a safety strap.

Cobalt Blue – Subtle, but Distinct Sometimes you don’t need neon yellow or toxic green to stand out. This Spyderco UK Penknife comes in rich Cobalt Blue G10 – subtle enough for everyday carry, yet distinctive enough that you’ll enjoy pulling it out of your pocket. The UKPK was originally designed to comply with stricter European knife laws. It opens one-handed via the signature Spyderco Round Hole, but the blade does not lock. Instead, it relies on a strong back spring – a classic slipjoint construction. Functional, straightforward, and perfectly suited for daily use. The approximately 7.5 cm blade in this version is made from SPY27, Spyderco’s proprietary steel. It offers a well-balanced mix of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening – exactly what you want in real-world use. The high full flat grind ensures clean, efficient cutting performance rather than brute-force wedging. The G10 handle scales make the knife slightly heavier than the FRN version, but they also provide a noticeably more solid, premium feel in hand. More substance, without becoming bulky.
A Legend Returns Picture this: late 1990s. Shoulder pads, brick-sized cell phones – and two old friends from Brooklyn sitting at a bar, talking knives. Bob Terzuola, the “Godfather of Tactical Folders,” and Sal Glesser, founder of Spyderco, set out to merge their design philosophies into one folding knife. The result? The iconic Spyderco Starmate. And now, it’s back as a limited Sprint Run edition. The Starmate isn’t just another folder – it’s a piece of knife history you can carry. Terzuola’s original concept blended elements from his Advanced Technology Combat Folder with Spyderco’s CLIPIT platform. Sal Glesser helped bring that vision into full production. Together, they created a milestone in tactical folding knife design – and now celebrate more than 25 years of that legendary collaboration. In hand, you get a highly capable working knife featuring a CPM 20CV blade – known for outstanding edge retention, excellent corrosion resistance, and impressive toughness. This is not a safe queen. It’s built to be used. The hollow-ground blade with an elegant swedge cuts efficiently while maintaining a bold, tactical profile. The signature Spyderco Round Hole allows for smooth one-handed opening, whether you’re right- or left-handed. The handle is made from textured black G-10 with nested stainless steel liners, delivering strength without unnecessary weight. A four-position pocket clip lets you configure carry exactly how you prefer – tip-up, tip-down, left, or right. There’s also a lanyard hole if you want to customize it further. On the reverse side of the blade, you’ll find a special detail: Terzuola’s engraved dragon head logo, inspired by the Mayan god of flint tools. It’s more than decoration – it’s a mark of knife culture history. The Starmate Sprint Run is produced only once and only in limited numbers. It comes with a durable nylon pouch and an information guide explaining the knife’s background. If you want to carry a true piece of modern knife legend in your daily life, this is it.

Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Lightweight – CTS BD1N Fifty years of Spyderco do not stand for nostalgia – they stand for evolution. Since 1976, the company from Golden, Colorado has shaped the modern folding knife like few others. The pocket clip, the iconic Round Hole, the Compression Lock – innovations that are standard today started here. The Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Lightweight carries that legacy forward in a version deliberately optimized for real-world everyday carry. The Lightweight configuration replaces traditional G10 with fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle scales. This significantly reduces weight while maintaining structural strength and rigidity. The signature bi-directional texturing provides excellent grip in wet conditions, cold environments, or during demanding work tasks. The knife feels light in pocket, yet solid and controlled in hand – exactly what a serious EDC tool should deliver. This version features CTS BD1N steel (sometimes incorrectly referred to as “CTS1 B1”). BD1N is a nitrogen-enhanced evolution of CTS BD1. The addition of nitrogen improves corrosion resistance and promotes a finer, more uniform carbide structure. The result is a well-balanced performance steel offering strong edge retention, excellent rust resistance, and easy maintenance in the field. For everyday use – from humid coastal climates to workshop environments – BD1N proves to be highly practical and reliable. The blade retains the proven full-flat ground drop point profile, delivering clean slicing performance across cardboard, packaging, wood, cordage, and daily utility tasks. The pronounced thumb ramp with jimping adds extra control for precise cuts. The Paramilitary 2 is not built as a display piece – it is engineered as a working tool. At the core remains the Compression Lock, a Spyderco-designed mechanism that allows safe one-handed operation while keeping fingers clear of the blade path. Over decades of refinement, it has become one of the most respected locking systems in production knives, combining strength, reliability, and smooth functionality. As Spyderco celebrates its 50-year anniversary, the Paramilitary 2 Lightweight with CTS BD1N represents the company’s philosophy perfectly: continuous refinement instead of short-lived trends. A lightweight, technically mature EDC knife trusted worldwide and regarded as one of the most relevant everyday folding knives on the market. The Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Lightweight CTS BD1N is not a stripped-down alternative – it is a purpose-driven evolution of a modern classic. Refined over five decades. Built for daily performance.

Spyderco was founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser in Golden, Colorado. What started as a small booth at trade shows has grown into one of the most influential brands in the knife industry. Today the company is run by son Eric Glesser in its second generation, with the same attention to detail as on day one.
In 1981, Spyderco was the first manufacturer to add a pocket clip to a folding knife. It's standard today, but back then it was a small revolution. Just as well known: the Spyderhole, the round hole in the blade. It lets you open the knife with a single finger, no nail nick or flipper needed.
Many Spyderco models are one-hand-opening knives with a locking mechanism, such as a Compression Lock or Liner Lock. Carry laws for locking one-hand knives differ by country, so always check your local regulations before carrying one in public. For everyday carry without that restriction, Spyderco also builds slipjoint models like the UK Penknife: they open one-handed via the Spyderhole but don't lock, which makes them legal to carry in most of Europe, including Germany and the UK.
Are Spyderco knives legal to own?
Ownership is legal everywhere we ship. Carrying a knife in public depends on the model and your local laws: locking one-hand knives often face restrictions, while slipjoints like the UK Penknife are generally allowed.
Which Spyderco model can I carry without restrictions?
The UK Penknife is the best known choice. The Lil Native Slipjoint, the Metropolitan Lightweight, and the Urban Lightweight are also non-locking slipjoints.
What is the Spyderhole?
The round hole in the blade that lets you open the knife one-handed with your thumb. It's a Spyderco invention and the brand's best known feature.
What's the difference between the Paramilitary 2 and the Para 3?
Both share the same build and the Compression Lock. The Para 3 is the more compact version, with a shorter blade and smaller handle, but the same DNA.
Where are Spyderco knives made?
Mainly in Golden, Colorado, USA. Spyderco also manufactures in Japan, Italy, and Taiwan, depending on the model.
Do you offer custom scales for Spyderco knives?
Yes. For the UK Penknife, we carry exclusive titanium scales from Daily Customs Hamburg, available only at Knife Lounge.
