Spyderco Nand

The Spyderco NAND is anything but ordinary. Designed by mechanical engineer Paul Alexander, this knife blends smart engineering with a unique, futuristic aesthetic.

What makes it stand out: the NAND doesn’t lock. It works like a modern friction folder, using an innovative ball-joint mechanism that holds the blade open without a locking system. And that’s exactly what makes it legal to carry in many places across Germany – a big plus for everyday use.

Specs that matter:

  • Blade steel: Böhler M398 – incredibly wear-resistant, stainless, and razor sharp

  • Wharncliffe blade shape – straight, precise, practical

  • Titanium handle – lightweight, strong, beautifully machined

  • Deep-carry wire clip – rides low in the pocket, barely noticeable

  • Reversible clip – for both left and right-hand carry

The NAND is probably the most advanced non-locking Spyderco ever made – a perfect example of how innovative a slipjoint-style knife can be today.

Warning / Safety Notice:

Risk of cuts: The most common hazard when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can easily penetrate skin and tissue.

Blade slippage: Improper handling or applying excessive force may cause the knife to slip, leading to uncontrolled movements and potential injury.

Injuries from falling knives: Knives should never be left unsecured or placed near the edge of tables or work surfaces, as they may fall and cause injury.

Dull blades: Dull knives pose a higher risk of injury, as they require more force and are more likely to slip. Knives should therefore be sharpened regularly and properly.

Improper use: Using a knife for purposes other than its intended use (e.g. as a prying tool) can damage the blade and may result in accidents.
