Spyderco Para 3 Lightweight Pink Every gram counts only 70 grams light good grip Deep-carry clip Spyderco have added a popular model to their ultra-lightweight range with the Para 3 Lightweight. The already brilliant Para 3 has been put on a radical diet - with phenomenal results. The new Lightweight version with the slightly rounded handle, is fantastic in the hand. With its sensational 70 grams, you can carry it in your pocket almost unnoticed. The handle scales in this version are made of the lightweight FRN plastic (Fiber Reinforced Nylon) that Spyderco has been using for a long time. This material is very robust and offers an extremely good grip. So you can work with the knife even with wet hands safely and accurately, without the one the Para 3 to slip. For the blade, the manufacturer from Colorado relies on the CTS BD1N steel, which is also used for example in the UKPK. This nitrogen-alloyed steel offers excellent prerequisites for a good all-round steel. On the one hand, it takes on enormous sharpness and can still be resharpened easily. In addition, this alloy is absolutely insensitive to rust. As with the normal Para 3, the popular Compression Lock is used to lock the blade, which can be easily and safely operated via the back of the blade. Together with the deep-carry clip, you have a knife here that exudes a real tool character and simply wants to be used. The light weight, versatile steel and fantastic hand placement make this cutting tool a real workhorse. So out of the cabinet and into life.

Micarta Scales CruWear Tool Steel Compression Lock A true EDC classic Spyderco fans have been waiting for this for years: a PM2 with Micarta handle scales. There's a steel update to go with it. Originally introduced in 2010, this all-around knife has been improved over the years so that this cutting tool is now an absolutely mature design. The incredibly ergonomically shaped handle, is designed for maximum control when working with the knife and allows a variety of ways to guide the blade. Really great is the so-called Fingerchoil (an indentation at the base of the blade), which makes it possible to grip the knife very close to the cutting edge to transmit maximum force to the cutting movement. Thanks to the attached filing (jimping), you have an absolutely secure grip even in this position and the knife never threatens to slip away thanks to the grippy surface of the Micarta. An absolute highlight of the PM2 is the Compression Lock. At first glance, this locking technology looks like a rear-placed liner lock - but a closer look reveals that this is not the case. With the Compression Lock, the liner moves between the blade root and the stop pin on the back. To destroy this lock, the steel liner between the blade root and the pin would have to be crushed, which is virtually impossible. This construction makes the Para Military 2 one of the most robust pocket knives the market has to offer. Unlike the standard version of the PM2, the liners on this variant are underlaid and not recessed. This further increases the edge stability of the Micarta. The blade is made of CruWear tool steel, which is very popular thanks to its toughness and edge retention. The fully raised flat grind ensures optimal cutting performance and the fine point allows for even the finest detail work. Thanks to the reversible pocket clip on both sides, the knife is ideal for both right- and left-handed users, while the large lanyard hole allows the attachment of a safety strap. Due to the Micarta used and the CruWear steel, the entire knife will put on a certain patina over time and thus get a very personal look. What is CruWear, anyway? CruWear is an air-hardened tool steel from Crucible Industries, one of the main suppliers of Spydercos steels. CruWear was basically developed as a sort of D2 alternative, except that it's an entirely different alloy and manufacturing method. While D2 has mainly chromium carbides for better wear resistance, CruWear also contains a high proportion of very hard vanadium carbides. These provide tremendous edge retention with a very high degree of hardness. Tungsten and molybdenum have also been added to the steel.

Spyderco Stretch 2 Lightweight K390 K390 steel Lighweight alternative to the Para Military 2 105 gram Hard at work The Stretch 2 eked out a shadowy existence for a long time with the Spyderco knives from the Lightweight series. Among Spyderco fans, however, this model has long been an insider tip. Maybe you have ever wanted a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Lightweight? Here you go: the Stretch 2 with the K390 steel blade is basically just that. Well, not exactly, of course. But the similarities between these two models is enormous. First of all, there's the extremely ergonomically shaped handle: thanks to the rounded FRN handle scales, which here have been kept in a very "tooly" steel blue, they fit incredibly well in your hand, so that even longer carving sessions won't cause you any pain. In the middle of the back of the blade you will find Spyderco's famous Mid-Lock, which can be operated effortlessly thanks to the Boye Detent. The biggest similarity to the PM2 can be found in the blade. Thanks to the straight spine and the bulbous tip, you have a real workhorse of a pocket knife. Thanks to the material thickness of only 3mm, cutting with the Stretch is simply fun. The used K390 steel from Böhler is quite an exotic among today's knife steels. This powder-metallurgical tool steel is not only incredibly tough, but also has an insane cutting ability. The only thing you have to keep an eye on is corrosion - like most tool steels, K390 is not completely stainless. The pocket clip you can of course convert to all 4 positions and the Stretch 2 thus adapt to your way of wearing. If the Spyderco PM2 was always a bit too angular for you, if you like exotic blade steels or if you fancy a large work knife, you'll be right at home with this model from Spyderco.
Spyderco Delica S30V Pink Heels Black Pocket knife from the Spyderco "Pink Heels" series, which donates a portion of the proceeds to the Society Against Cancer in Women compact EDC pocket knife weighing only 68g FRN handle and black S30V steel blade The small thingsIn 1990 Spyderco shook up the knife world and revolutionized the pocket knife with the Endura and Delica! Backlock, one handed opening with the famous Spydie Hole and still an absolute lightweight. A modern high-end knife at a fair price and that in two different sizes. The Delica is the small version of the Spyderco classic. Practical 7.5 cm blade with a total weight of only 71 g - an ultra light and stable knife, which has lost nothing of its charm or use over the years. Even more than 30 years later, the Delica still cuts a fine figure and can compete with current competitors. The fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) handles offer a perfect blend of stability, ergonomics and slip resistance. The design allows ambidextrous use without restrictions, which is also supported by the 4 way clip (tip up, down, left as well as right). The Japanese VG10 steel convinces with its long edge retention and cutting performance. Pink Heels? You probably noticed that this Delica is not just a normal Spyderco knife. The bright pink handle scales and black blade not only create a super cool contrast, but support an important message. Cancer - especially breast cancer - is one of the most common causes of death among women worldwide. Yet breast cancer in particular could be easily detected with targeted education and regular screening. Pink Heels are committed to precisely this and have launched a whole series of anti-cancer campaigns. Spyderco supports the Pink Heels organization with a portion of the proceeds from each Pink Heels knife sold.
Compact EDC workhorse knife Eric Glesser Design Ball Bearing Lock Eric's First Spyderco has been a family business from the beginning. At the very start, the company consisted practically only of Sal Glesser and his wife, who drove around the country with a bus and visited trade shows. Today, Spyderco is based in Golden, Colorado, and has become one of the leading pocket knife manufacturers in the USA. In addition to Sal Glesser, today it is primarily his son Eric who has taken the management of the company in hand. And even his first design, the Manix 2, is a hit. The Manix 2 is definitely one of the Spyderco knives you'll pick up and not want to put aside again. The ergonomic design offers an incredibly comfortable hand position so that this tool literally sticks in your hand while working. On two solid steel liners sit handle scales made of indestructible G10, which can really take a beating. A central feature of the Manix 2 is the Ball Bearing Lock. Here, a thick steel ball, which sits in a plastic cage, is pushed onto the blade root by means of a centrally mounted spring. This prevents the blade from simply folding back in. This lock is not only incredibly sturdy but also has a completely unique feel. The blade action has a gentle resistance, so that a very controlled action is achieved. The leaf-shaped blade made of CPM S30V is opened, as you know it from Spyderco for sure, through the large thumbhole. With the blade tip located on the center axis of the knife, you have maximum control over the knife when working with the Manix 2 and can also do very precise cutting work. The fully raised flat ground provides the best cutting properties so that working with this rattle is simply fun.

Spyderco Para Military 2 Maxamet Maxamet version Gray G10 Scales Made in Golden/Colorado/USA/Earth The EDC Classic Don't be put off by the name of this absolute classic - this is no combat knife or any other kind of military stabbing weapon. The Para Military 2 - or PM2 - is one of the most popular and versatile knives Spyderco has in its lineup. Originally introduced in 2010, this all-around knife has been improved upon over the years, making this cutting tool an absolutely mature design by now. The incredibly ergonomically shaped handle, is designed for maximum control when working with the knife and allows a variety of ways to guide the blade. Really great is the fingerchoil (an indentation at the base of the blade), which makes it possible to grip the knife very close to the cutting edge to transmit maximum force to the cutting movement. Thanks to the attached filing (jimping), you have an absolutely secure grip even in this position and the knife never threatens to slip away thanks to the gray G10 surface of the handle. The steel plates are recessed into the handle material and generously milled out to save weight. An absolute highlight of the PM2s is the Compression Lock. At first glance, this locking technology looks like a liner lock placed at the rear - but a closer look reveals that it is not. With Compression Lock, the liner moves between the blade root and the back stop pin. To destroy this lock, the steel liner would have to be squashed between the blade root and the pin, which is virtually impossible. This construction makes the Para Military 2 one of the most stable pocket knives on the market. In this version of the knife, the blade is made of the rather unusual Maxamet steel. This is a high-speed tool steel manufactured by Carpenter in the USA, which is not only impressively sharp thanks to its incredibly high carbon content, but also incredibly hard due to the composition of the alloy. Spyderco has a hardness of over 67 HRC, which is an incredibly high value in the pocket knife world. The result is a blade whose cutting edge has a very long service life and remains sharp for an amazingly long time. The fully raised flat grind ensures optimum cutting performance and the fine point allows even the finest detail work. Thanks to the reversible pocket clip on both sides, the knife is ideal for both right- and left-handed users, while the large lanyard hole allows a safety strap to be attached.
Spyderco was founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser in Golden, Colorado. What started as a small booth at trade shows has grown into one of the most influential brands in the knife industry. Today the company is run by son Eric Glesser in its second generation, with the same attention to detail as on day one.
In 1981, Spyderco was the first manufacturer to add a pocket clip to a folding knife. It's standard today, but back then it was a small revolution. Just as well known: the Spyderhole, the round hole in the blade. It lets you open the knife with a single finger, no nail nick or flipper needed.
Many Spyderco models are one-hand-opening knives with a locking mechanism, such as a Compression Lock or Liner Lock. Carry laws for locking one-hand knives differ by country, so always check your local regulations before carrying one in public. For everyday carry without that restriction, Spyderco also builds slipjoint models like the UK Penknife: they open one-handed via the Spyderhole but don't lock, which makes them legal to carry in most of Europe, including Germany and the UK.
Are Spyderco knives legal to own?
Ownership is legal everywhere we ship. Carrying a knife in public depends on the model and your local laws: locking one-hand knives often face restrictions, while slipjoints like the UK Penknife are generally allowed.
Which Spyderco model can I carry without restrictions?
The UK Penknife is the best known choice. The Lil Native Slipjoint, the Metropolitan Lightweight, and the Urban Lightweight are also non-locking slipjoints.
What is the Spyderhole?
The round hole in the blade that lets you open the knife one-handed with your thumb. It's a Spyderco invention and the brand's best known feature.
What's the difference between the Paramilitary 2 and the Para 3?
Both share the same build and the Compression Lock. The Para 3 is the more compact version, with a shorter blade and smaller handle, but the same DNA.
Where are Spyderco knives made?
Mainly in Golden, Colorado, USA. Spyderco also manufactures in Japan, Italy, and Taiwan, depending on the model.
Do you offer custom scales for Spyderco knives?
Yes. For the UK Penknife, we carry exclusive titanium scales from Daily Customs Hamburg, available only at Knife Lounge.
