WE Knife Big Banter Black G10 Ben Petersen Design G10 handle CPM 20CV blade drop point blade flat blade grind black stonewashed blade finish Bigger! Better! Banter! Here it is - the big version of the WE Knife Banter. If you're interested in knives, you can't get around him: for a long time, Ben Peterson from Blade HQ was a true institution on YouTube. His videos were not just product presentations, but had a completely unique and entertaining style. After his end at Blade HQ, it was a short while style around Ben. However, he was not idle. Together with WE Knife, he developed the Banter, a pocket knife that is absolutely tailored to Ben's needs and comes with a few clever features. Firstly, there's the size: perhaps you remember Ben's requirement that a knife be no longer than his outstretched index finger? To test this, Ben likes to put his finger out the back of the blade and see if he can reach the tip. Nevertheless, there are of course users who simply like a slightly larger knife. Therefore, with the Big Banter, the same design is available in a large version. The handle made of G10 is very comfortable in the hand thanks to its unexciting, universal contour and can be used in a variety of positions. In the back you will find a lanyard hole, through which you can thread, for example, a 550 paracord as a lanyard. While the show side is made of a G10 or Micarta shell with an embedded liner, the opposite scale has a steel liner, which also provides a super secure liner lock. The genius here is that WE Knife have chosen such a thin grind that the Banter is an incredible cutting devil. The CPM 20CV blade just flies through the cut material and is up to everyday cutting tasks in EDC. Ceramic ball bearings provide a smooth opening of the blade, which gives the Banter a certain playfulness. Together with the Deep Carry clip, which allows the knife to disappear discreetly in your pocket, you get with the WE Knife Banter an impressively versatile EDC pocket knife that turns out to be an excellent companion in everyday life.

WE Knife Banter Cuibourtia wood Ben Peterson design Handle made of Cuibourtia wood Blade made of CPM S35VN Black stonewashed blade finish Whaaat iiiiiiis up guys? If you are interested in knives, you can't avoid him: for a long time, Ben Peterson from Blade HQ was a real institution on Youtube. His videos were not just product presentations, but had a completely unique and entertaining style. After his end at Blade HQ, it was a short while style around Ben. However, he was not idle. Together with WE Knife, he developed a pocket knife that is absolutely tailored to Ben's needs and comes with a few clever features. Here comes the Banter. First, there's the size: perhaps you remember Ben's requirement that a knife be no longer than his outstretched index finger? To test this, Ben likes to put his finger out the back of the blade and see if he can reach the tip. Thanks to its unexciting, universal contour, the handle made of wood is very comfortable in the hand and can be used in a variety of positions. In the back, you'll find a lanyard hole through which you can thread a 550 paracord as a safety strap, for example. While the showside is made of a pure g10 scale, the opposite scale has a liner made of black steel, which also provides the super secure linerlock. The blade is a very universally shaped Spearpoint blade (comes with a blackwash finish in this version) that has been given a large hollow grind. The genius here is that WE Knife have chosen such a thin grind that the Banter is an incredible cutting machine. The S35VN blade just flies through the cut material and is up to all cutting tasks in EDC. Ceramic ball bearings provide a smooth opening of the blade, giving the Banter a certain playfulness. Together with the black deep-carry clip, which allows the knife to disappear discreetly in your pocket, you get with the WE Knife Banter an impressively versatile EDC pocket knife that turns out to be an excellent companion in everyday life.

WE Knife deliberately does not follow a uniform design language. Instead, collaborations with designers from around the world result in a wide variety of lines and distinct characters. What all WE knives share, however, is an exceptionally high level of precision. Blades made from premium steels such as CPM-20CV or CPM-S35VN meet flawlessly executed surface finishes, perfectly tuned action, and clean, reliable mechanisms. From a purely technical standpoint, WE Knife is considered one of the most precise pocketknife manufacturers in the world – especially in terms of fit, tolerances, and finish quality.
In short: Anyone who has ever held a WE Knife immediately notices the difference between standard off-the-shelf products and true precision.
WE Knife takes a different approach than many traditional knife manufacturers. They build knives out of curiosity, a spirit of experimentation, and the desire to keep challenging themselves technically. Rather than producing “classics” for years on end, they regularly release new models, designs, and technical concepts. Many knives are made only for a limited time and later disappear from the lineup. And that’s exactly what makes WE Knife so exciting for many collectors in the EDC scene: some models are sought after years later on the secondary market because they were available only in small quantities or for short production runs.
A tip: WE Knife manufactures the TNT Knives Big Bang as an OEM producer – available exclusively from us at Knife Lounge.
The Civivi brand is also backed by WE Knife. Civivi brings high-quality EDC knives to market at a slightly lower price point – perfect for EDC newcomers or as an addition to your collection. One particularly popular model is the §42a-compliant Civivi Elementum Slipjoint, offering outstanding value for money.
If you’d like to know which model best fits your EDC setup, just send us a WhatsApp, use our contact form, or drop by Knife Lounge in Hamburg in person. We look forward to seeing you and will be happy to help!
