Behind DB Blades is Dom from Australia.

Dom is 24 years young and 6 years ago he put his almost insane idea to become a full time knifemaker into action.
That's right: at the age of only 18, the lad made this risky decision in a country where there are less than 10 full-time knifemakers! As passionate craftsmen, we were of course very impressed by this. By the way, Dom started making knives at the age of 14.

He works 80 hours a week, gives knife-making courses, has his own YouTube channel with over 50,000 subscribers and is very active on Instagram.

On top of that, he's super personable.

DB Blades Brute Amboina Burl Small Fixed Custom Made from Australia Nitro-V steel with Kydex Sheath Small but useful! The Brute is a knife that stands out despite its compact size. From a purely visual point of view, the design almost seems a bit chubby. The big eureka moment comes when you take the knife in your hand for the first time and work with it. The handle of the Brute is made of amboina burl wood, which you may already know from the furniture or instrument industry. This wood has a soft feel and is super comfortable to hold, even with large hands, thanks to the voluminously designed handle. The trick of this knife is that you can use it in many grip positions, so precise cutting tasks are no problem. On the back of the blade, you'll find a hollow that allows your thumb to transfer a lot of force to the center of the cutting edge. The blade is the stainless Nitro-V steel developed in the USA, which offers very good cutting performance thanks to its high content of nitrogen and vanadium and is not dissimilar to the AEB-L. The very high blade has been ground to a very fine finish using a half raised hollow grind, so you're getting a real cutting machine here. The swedge on the back of the blade results in a finely tapered tip, which visually gives the knife that certain something. The overall package is rounded off by a tight-fitting Kydex and a Birth card milled from Aluminum. Each knife is labeled with a running serial number and is handmade by Dominic Binkert in Australia.

DB Blades Infernum D2 steel Cerakote finish in black, grey or bronze Kydex sheath   The Thunder from Down Under The DB Blades Infernum is a very slim all-steel knife from the design forge of Dominic Brinkert from Australia. If you liked the Surgeon, but would like to carry a larger knife with you, this is the right place! Completely made from a solid piece of D2 steel, the Infernum offers an unusually large blade for a flat all-steel knife. Despite its narrow dimensions, the Infernum works like a much larger knife in use. The tapered tip in combination with the thin full flat grind results in an extremely sturdy but slender overall package. The design just asks to be used extensively! The tang fits well in the hand and offers enough space even for large people. Rounded off edges on the handle and the spine of the blade also provide great ergonomics. The Infernum is not completely skeletonized but has two visually distinctive and very practical three-point drillings. These can be used for a custom Paracord wrap to give the hand a little more volume.
