Behind DB Blades is Dom from Australia.

Dom is 24 years young and 6 years ago he put his almost insane idea to become a full time knifemaker into action.
That's right: at the age of only 18, the lad made this risky decision in a country where there are less than 10 full-time knifemakers! As passionate craftsmen, we were of course very impressed by this. By the way, Dom started making knives at the age of 14.

He works 80 hours a week, gives knife-making courses, has his own YouTube channel with over 50,000 subscribers and is very active on Instagram.

On top of that, he's super personable.

The Collab Pens are a collaboration between Dominic Binkert (DB Blades) and Shane of Marks Inovative Gear (MIG).The pen at MIG is turned and machined from solid steel. No prefabricated blank is used here - all machine work happens entirely in the company's own workshop. Dominic from DB Blades is responsible for the coating and the finish, and he also carries out his work steps completely in-house. So you get an extremely robust pen, made entirely in Australia in loving handwork, and thanks to its durable constructions made for eternity. The mechanism is a simple bayonet latch, which not only works reliably, but also provides an incredible amount of fun (and will drive your fellows to the brink of insanity...click...clack...click). The small hollows, which are applied by hand to the surface of the pens, provide a very pleasant feel. So your Collab Pen is indeed a unique because the pattern of the pens by hand is always a little different.  Each pen is marked with a running serial number on the clip. DB Blades Brute Amboina Burl Small Fixed Custom Made from Australia Nitro-V steel with Kydex Sheath Small but useful! The Brute is a knife that stands out despite its compact size. From a purely visual point of view, the design almost seems a bit chubby. The big eureka moment comes when you take the knife in your hand for the first time and work with it. The handle of the Brute is made of amboina burl wood, which you may already know from the furniture or instrument industry. This wood has a soft feel and is super comfortable to hold, even with large hands, thanks to the voluminously designed handle. The trick of this knife is that you can use it in many grip positions, so precise cutting tasks are no problem. On the back of the blade, you'll find a hollow that allows your thumb to transfer a lot of force to the center of the cutting edge. The blade is the stainless Nitro-V steel developed in the USA, which offers very good cutting performance thanks to its high content of nitrogen and vanadium and is not dissimilar to the AEB-L. DB Blades Infernum G10 Nitro-V Steel Custom Made from Australia hollow ground with Kydex Australian worker The Infernum is a full-blown and rugged fixed from DB Blades. This absolutely serious work knife is made in Australia by Dominic Binkert - the man behind DB Blades - and just screams to be allowed to do harder cutting work. Here you get a 22.5cm long fixed blade with a hollow grind and a really sturdy, flat ground tip. So you have on the one hand very good cutting properties and on the other hand the tacticool look of a fighter blade that has a really nasty tip. The Nitro-V steel, enriched with nitrogen and vanadium, is not only extremely resistant to rust, but can also be easily brought back to sharpness if your blade should be a bit dulled after work. The handle is equipped with scales made of black G10. Thanks to the universal shape, you can use the knife even with really big hands without any problems. Included is a precisely fitting Kydex sheath, so that you can transport your Infernum safely.

DB Blades Infernum D2 steel Cerakote finish in black, grey or bronze Kydex sheath   The Thunder from Down Under The DB Blades Infernum is a very slim all-steel knife from the design forge of Dominic Brinkert from Australia. If you liked the Surgeon, but would like to carry a larger knife with you, this is the right place! Completely made from a solid piece of D2 steel, the Infernum offers an unusually large blade for a flat all-steel knife. Despite its narrow dimensions, the Infernum works like a much larger knife in use. The tapered tip in combination with the thin full flat grind results in an extremely sturdy but slender overall package. The design just asks to be used extensively! The tang fits well in the hand and offers enough space even for large people. Rounded off edges on the handle and the spine of the blade also provide great ergonomics. The Infernum is not completely skeletonized but has two visually distinctive and very practical three-point drillings. These can be used for a custom Paracord wrap to give the hand a little more volume.
