In the beginning, pouches were enough, but they reached their limits fairly quickly. I always thought a storage case was really elegant, and I still remember the first time I saw a knife case at a friend’s place. He proudly showed his closed case and I just thought "wow that's classy", then he opened both latches. There was a juicy clacking sound, and he slowly lifted the lid and a suspenseful movie soundtrack started playing in my head, the kind of music you would hear in your favorite movie when your heroes find the fabled treasure and now finally open the treasure chest. Then I looked into the case full of excitement and... was disappointed. Classic cube foam. Unfortunately, you can't see very much. I couldn’t see anything! I mean, sure there were knives, but I wasn’t able to see them. Only a small part of the knife was visible, and I could hardly see which model it was. This short moment of tension, almost like the climax of a movie hero’s adventure, is worth to be resolved in an equally epic way, right? I love pocket knives precisely because of their design and materials, and that is exactly what I want to see as soon as the lid is being lifted. I want this suspenseful music in my head to have a proper finale at the end. That was the day I set out to find the perfect knife case, but there was no such case to be found in Europe, and I eventually gave up the search. At some point I had a message in the mailbox of an acquaintance who said he knew someone who made inlays for cases and if that would be a good idea for us... Today, many months of trying, fiddling and testing, it is ready, and I am super happy to have found the perfect knife case for me and at the same time I am proud of our first project of this kind. The case offers safe protection against impact, heat and water, while appropriately presenting your Grail Knives and favorite pieces like rare or valuable pieces of jewelry.   Inlays: The case has 4 layers: a bottom inlay and 3 removable presentation inlays. Wedding ball 925 sterling silver, made in our own factory. Since it is purely handmade, each part is unique. Production only on order. The story behind it: When life was in its beginning, many countless ball to the earth. Upon impact, they shattered into two halves. Uneven and freely divided, they symbolize the different characters of two people. But each of these hemispheres, however different, is destined for a counterpart, just as two people are destined for each other. We are all searching for our other half, for the other half of the sphere. When you think you have found your other half, you will find that the two half spheres often fit only in one small place, which you could find out by careful turning and trying. It is quite natural that it hangs and sticks at the beginning. But that's exactly what makes sense - because: not everything can fit and match from the start. Now both have to work on their half ball, grinding and filing. Only slowly and in small steps this edgy break smoothes out through the give and take in love. After some time, when both halves have ground down, they can be joined almost smoothly into one sphere. However, never forget one thing: you should not hone the other half, but always your own.
