Spyderco Techno 3 C158TI3 Marcin Slysz Design Titanium handle Blade made of CTS XHP with satin finish
Maximum edge retention meets minimum weight – in a one-time-only special edition. The Manix 2 Lightweight has long been a staple in the world of modern EDC folders – but this version pushes performance to a whole new level. The blade is made from CPM-15V, a state-of-the-art powder metallurgy steel with an incredible vanadium content of nearly 15%. The result? Extreme wear resistance and edge retention that outperforms S30V, S110V – even Magnacut. Spyderco teamed up with custom maker Shawn Houston (aka "Big Brown Bear") to give this blade a specialized heat treatment. His process is known for squeezing the absolute maximum performance out of high-alloy steels – and this Manix 2 shows it. Thanks to the lightweight FRCP handle, the knife weighs just 82 grams (2.9 oz), despite its generous size. Paired with a reversible deep-carry clip, ambidextrous Ball Bearing Lock, and that unmistakable Spyderco ergonomics, this knife is built to be your daily workhorse – wherever you carry it. And here’s the key detail: This model is a true Sprint Run. That means Spyderco only produced it once. After that single production batch, the unique tooling and jigs used for this version are retired or even destroyed. There will be no restock, no second round – once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Every gram counts only 70 grams light good grip Deep-carry clip Spyderco have added a popular model to their ultra-lightweight range with the Para 3 Lightweight. The already brilliant Para 3 has been put on a radical diet - with phenomenal results. The new Lightweight version with the slightly rounded handle, is fantastic in the hand. With its sensational 70 grams, you can carry it in your pocket almost unnoticed. The handle scales in this version are made of the lightweight FRN plastic (Fiber Reinforced Nylon) that Spyderco has been using for a long time. This material is very robust and offers an extremely good grip. So you can work with the knife even with wet hands safely and accurately, without the one the Para 3 to slip. For the blade, the manufacturer from Colorado relies on the Magnacut steel, which is also used for example in the UKPK. This nitrogen-alloyed steel offers excellent prerequisites for a good all-round steel. On the one hand, it takes on enormous sharpness and can still be resharpened easily. In addition, this alloy is absolutely insensitive to rust. As with the normal Para 3, the popular Compression Lock is used to lock the blade, which can be easily and safely operated via the back of the blade. Together with the deep-carry clip, you have a knife here that exudes a real tool character and simply wants to be used. The light weight, versatile steel and fantastic hand placement make this cutting tool a real workhorse. So out of the cabinet and into life.

An EDC knife can be useful in a variety of situations. Whether you need it to open packages, cut ropes, or find your way during an outdoor trip – the possibilities are virtually limitless. Especially in emergency situations, a good everyday carry knife can provide valuable service. For hobby craftsmen or outdoor enthusiasts, such a knife is indispensable. Here are some examples of where your EDC knife can be used:
When buying an EDC knife, you should consider certain features to find the perfect knife for your needs. In addition to the materials used and the blade length, the design also plays a major role. Many models are equipped with ergonomic handles that ensure safe and comfortable handling. Another aspect to consider when buying is the weight of the knife. A knife that is too heavy can be impractical, while a model that is too light might not provide enough stability.
Additionally, the size of the knife and the type of blade lock are important. If you have large hands, a knife with a bulkier handle may provide better handling. For pocket knives, the type of lock is crucial – for example, a framelock offers more stability than a slipjoint pocket knife.
Our tip: Pocket knives are also well-suited for everyday use and provide great assistance in many situations. In our shop, we offer a wide range of pocket knives in various designs from different manufacturers.
When choosing your EDC knife, you should be aware of the carrying restrictions in Germany. According to the Weapons Act (WaffG) § 42a, there is a prohibition on carrying certain items. This includes, among other things, knives with lockable blades that can be operated with one hand or fixed knives with a blade length over 12 cm. We have summarized all the information on the topic "What does §42a-compliant mean" on our website.
In our shop, you’ll find a wide range of EDC knives tailored to your needs. Whether you’re looking for a functional everyday knife or value style and design, you’ll find the right one with us. If you need help choosing or have questions about the knives, we’re here to assist you. Just use our contact form.
