Overland X – The Big Adventure Starts in Your Hand Question: What’s razor-sharp, uncompromisingly cool, built for any terrain – and looks like it belongs on an overland truck somewhere in Utah rather than sitting in your kitchen drawer? Exactly – the Overland X by TJ Schwarz. This isn’t your delicate sandwich slicer – it’s a true adventure tool, made to follow you anywhere: into the woods, down to the lake, into the workshop, or straight through your daily grind. At just under 20 cm in overall length, the Overland X is basically the big brother of the Overland Sport – more handle, more blade, more “bring it on!” The Magnacut steel ensures maximum edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness – everything you need when you’re actually putting your gear to work (or, let’s be honest, taking those outdoor Insta shots). Visually, it’s pure joy: choose between black or green Micarta handle scales, both paired with black hardware for that stealth look. The ergonomics? Spot on – solid, grippy, and built to last, just like you’d expect from the Overland Sport. Of course, it comes with a custom-fit Kydex sheath that locks in with that satisfying “click” you can almost hear before you even sheathe it. In short: the Overland X isn’t a desk knife. It’s your go-anywhere, do-anything buddy – proudly made in Boise, Idaho.

Raven’s Bornas – Nordic Wave It's been almost two years since the first Raven’s Bornas was released. Now WESN has handed the helm back to Sam, aka Raven the Pirate, and the two have given their collaborative fixed blade another makeover. The result is called Raven’s Bornas: Nordic Wave. The foundation remains the Bornas, WESN’s compact full-tang fixed blade, meaning the steel runs all the way from the tip to the end of the handle. For the blade, WESN uses CPM S35VN with a black PVD coating. You'll probably recognize this steel from plenty of high-end mid-tech knives. It holds an edge for a long time while still being relatively easy to sharpen. And being stainless, it couldn't care less about Hamburg's endless drizzle. The WESN logo sits on the front, while Raven has left his laser-engraved mark on the reverse side. The real update is the handle. Both scales are made from titanium and finished entirely in black. A CNC-machined wave pattern draws inspiration from Viking runestones and Nordic ornamentation. On the original Bornas, only the front was engraved. This time, the entire surface features a raised relief pattern. You'll notice the difference as soon as you run your thumb across it: the texture provides extra grip, even with cold or wet fingers. And it looks like a Norseman with an incredible amount of patience somehow got his hands on a CNC machine. The knife comes with a black Kydex sheath with a belt clip, the second major difference from the original release, which came with a leather sheath. Kydex clicks securely into place and doesn't mind getting caught in the rain. There's also a specially designed matte black box with gold foil detailing. So what's it actually for? The Bornas is a small fixed blade designed for everyday carry and outdoor adventures. Opening packages or slicing an apple during a picnic on the banks of the Elbe – neither requires a folding mechanism, and a full-tang knife can handle a little extra pressure when needed. With a blade length of approximately 7 cm, it sits comfortably below Germany's 12 cm limit. Fixed blades of this size are not subject to the general carry restrictions under Section 42a of the German Weapons Act (WaffG), meaning you can generally carry one in everyday life, subject to any additional local restrictions. Who's it for? Anyone looking to add a compact fixed blade with excellent materials to their EDC kit, or anyone who's a true fan of Raven the Pirate. Please note:Orders will ship during the week of October 12.
Ever since Bruce Springsteen put his backside in blue jeans on the cover of “Born in the U.S.A.” in 1984, one thing has been clear: denim is more than fabric. Denim smells of highways and summer nights in New Jersey. GiantMouse evidently sees it the same way and has given the Biblio XL a handle made of Denim Micarta. And yes, that really is denim, layered and pressed in resin. The S90V blade wears a stonewash finish. Anyone who hung around the schoolyard in stonewashed jeans in the eighties will be grinning right about now. It locks up with a liner lock, a brass backspacer closes off the back, and the wire clip can be swapped for left- or right-hand carry. With just over 8 cm of blade, the XL is an honest working knife – the cowboys in their Wranglers would tip their hats in approval. A fun fact on the side: the Biblio was designed by two Danes, Jens Anso and Jesper Voxnaes. It’s named after a bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where the idea for GiantMouse was born. Americana with a Scandinavian passport, you might say. The Denim is limited to 300 numbered pieces. Drop: Thursday, 1 October, 6 pm (CEST). And as every cowboy knows, whoever turns up late to the saloon gets nothing but warm beer.
Chris Reeve Sebenza 31 Canvas Micarta black - Double Lug, Blue Hardware Thumbstuds on both sidesBlue HardwareMagnacut Micarta inlay on the front and back Clip sits slightly diagonal on the 31 Of course there is also a model with inlays for the Sebenza 31 besides the "Plane Jane". Two versions are currently available, one with Natural Canvas Micarta and the variant presented here in Black Micarta. While the rear Micarta inlay is more oriented to the inlays of the Inkosis in terms of shape, a new design was chosen for the show side. Instead of having two inlays as before, now one large one was used, which describes a wide arc over the handle of the knife. As is customary with CRK, the inlays on the Sebenza 31 are bonded in such a way that they last virtually forever. In addition to the visual difference, the Micarta inlays also provide a somewhat fuller and rounder hand position, which should be interesting especially for use with gloves. Large When the end of the Sebenza 21 was proclaimed in June 2019 and the successor, the Sebenza 31, was presented, this announcement went through the knife scene like a drumbeat. After all, new introductions from the manufacturer from Idaho are already very rare. When it comes to the inheritance of one of the most famous and best pocket knives of all time, such a thing does not remain without appropriate reaction. Fortunately, Chris Reeve Knives have improved their recipe for success all in all only minimally but in crucial places, so that one can justifiably continue to speak of a Sebenza in the new 31 model. First of all, the hole on the presentation side of the knife is now gone - something that many Reeve fans have long wished for. The slightly changed angle of the pocket clip, which now no longer presses on the lockbar, is also quickly noticeable to the trained eye. Less obvious, however, is the revised lock of the Sebenza 31. Just as with the Umnumzaan or the Inkosi, a ceramic ball embedded in the lockbar now presses against the blade root. The hardness of this ball is in a barely measurable range, which prevents long-term wear at the contact point of the lockbar. In order to improve the hand position of the Sebenza a bit, the grip recess on the front side was ground a bit differently. All in all, we can say: yes, the new model rightly bears the venerable name Sebenza and can easily tie in with the popular 21 series. Small Just like the previous model, both sizes are still available. While the large Sebenza 31 is a truly full-blown work knife, the Small Sebenza remains the king of EDC pocket knives - the hand position continues to be great on the successor model. All of the features mentioned above can also be found in this smaller version of the Sebenza 31 - just in a slightly more compact and pocket-friendly form.
