It all started with this pen: Lee Nottingham designed his TIClicker around what is probably the best-known and most widely used ballpoint pen refill of all. We're talking, of course, about the incredibly widespread Parker lead, which is now available in countless versions from even more countless manufacturers. But in this version, you're not dealing with the TiClicker at all, but with the TiButton. What is the difference? Basically, they are identical pens, but with one important difference: the TiButton has a clever security feature. Maybe it's happened to you, too: You carry your EDC pen clipped on in your pants pocket, where your wallet is also located. While reaching into your pocket, you accidentally push the refill of the pen forward and not even 60 minutes later you have a wonderfully creative painted inside of your favorite jeans. Nobody needs that! This won't happen to the TiButton from Nottingham. To extend the pen's lead, you have to press a small safety button that simultaneously unlocks the pen again. This double lock not only ensures fun, but also that your pocket remains spotless.
Your TiButton Parker is delivered in three formats. The very pocket-friendly mini version is equipped with a Pilot G2 mini refill, which offers a long writing time despite its small size. In the midsize format, on the other hand, the Schmidt Easyflow 9000 refill is used. This refill has a kind of cult status among writing instrument fans and not only offers an extremely pleasant rollerball writing feel, but also delivers a medium line width with a very saturated, document-proof black that ensures very good legibility. Alternatively, you can equip this TiButton with any other Parker size refill, such as the Schneider Slider, and customize the pen to your liking. If you prefer large pens, you can get a Pilot G2 refill with the full-size variant. This refill is also very popular, and rightly so. The fine stroke and the decidedly rich black make for a great writing experience.
Of course, the TiButton pen is also available in a variety of patterns. You have the choice between Full Carved, Full Carved Blasted, Full Straight Flute and YKnot.

So this is "The Side Piece" in its original form - a real PryBar for everyday use. It is the result of Archie's passion for CAD/CAM and machining, coupled with his many years of experience in using an EDC PryBar.
Each piece is lovingly crafted in Archie's workshop here in Colorado. And for the screws, we rely on our friends at Tactile Knives in Texas to make them to Archie's exact specifications.

He determined thedimensionsbased on his experience and years of using Prybars.This is, in fact, the perfect "sweet spot", for a Prybar.
The story behind it:
Archie and his wife spent 10 days in Medellín, Colombia. The laws regarding carrying knives were unclear there and he had no desire to spend a few nights in a South American prison.
So this 12.7 cm EDC Prybar became his travel companion and since then his most used and most carried EDC item.
The Mr. NiceBar is a functional, minimalist, high-quality and useful tool. The recessed pocket acts as a frame for the tool, saving weight while providing more grip. The edges are hand ground so they are not too sharp, but not dull either.
Capsule lifter and pocket clip are intentionally on one side so that the opposite side has a clean, straight edge.

(Most) knives are not made for prying. Therefore, Prybars are becoming increasingly more popular in the EDC scene. With these little pocket tools, you can pry at will without having to worry about a knife blade.
Vero Engineering has come up with an extremely well thought-out answer to theese problems in the form of the Fulcrum. The prybar is milled entirely from zirconium, weighs a mere 42 grams and is hardly noticeable in the pocket thanks to the flat clip. The most brilliant thing about the Fulcrum is the possibility of carrying two micro-bits by held by two O-rings, which can be inserted on the top of the clip. baslcially you not only have a pry tool, but also a bit holder at the same time.
By the way, the bits come from Wiha in Germany. This owner-managed company, is one of the leading tool manufacturers in the world and stands with its name for the highest quality. In the holder for the bits sits a small neodymium magnet, which ensures a secure hold.
