Poikilo Blades - about technology and science fiction

If there is one knife brand that looks like it was forged on an alien planet, then it is Poikilo Blades. Here, sophisticated technology meets extraordinary design - from organic to futuristic, but always: uncompromising.

Poikilo Blades - founded in 2021 by Andy and Vince Wang - is the result of a genuine passion for knives.

The two not only share an eye for strong design, function and quality, but also a long history: Andy has been collecting knives since 2007, Vince since 2014. They met on Instagram - and what began with an exchange about blades, grinds and balisongs quickly turned into the idea for their own brand. A brand that thinks things differently. Better. And sees it through to the end.

The name says it all: Poikilo comes from the Greek and means "diverse". This diversity runs through everything the brand does - from the designs to the technology. And sometimes it almost seems as if an extraterrestrial designer has created the knives on a journey through space and time.

Designs with attitude – from nature to sci-fi

Every series at Poikilo has its own unique design DNA. The Nature Series is inspired by natural shapes and textures – with organic lines, soft geometry, and a calm, elegant design language. This contrasts with the Futuristic Series: angular, radical, and almost exaggerated. Models such as the Carmen are reminiscent of props from Blade Runner 2049 – futuristic tools with functional aesthetics and a neat attitude.

The EDC Series focuses on everyday practicality without compromising on style: functional proportions, robust construction, ergonomic balance – but with the same high design standards as the other series.

Down to the last screw – everything in-house

What sets Poikilo apart from many other manufacturers is that the entire production process takes place in-house.

From milling the blades and titanium handles to final assembly, every single step is carried out by the team.

The result? A level of detail and quality control that is rare even among the top knife makers. Technical highlights such as the so-called hidden hardware, for example on the Prism model, demonstrate how well thought-out the work is here: no visible screws, no visual chaos – instead, a clean look with perfect stability.

The Salvator model also goes all out: technically complex, high-quality workmanship, a real statement for anyone looking for something special.

From the community – for the community

Poikilo is more than just design and technology – it was born out of a genuine community. Andy and Vince found each other on Instagram, shared their fascination for blades, discussed, celebrated – and ultimately built their own brand.

You can still feel this energy today: in every model, in every detail, and in their direct connection to the scene. Whether you're a collector, hobbyist, flipper, or simply a fan of unusual design, Poikilo is the place for you.

Out of friendship. Out of pasion. With success – Poikilo x Vulpex

Some collaborations are born out of strategy. Others out of genuine friendship. We have known Steven Kempa from Vulpex Knives for years and value him as a designer, creator, and person. For us, he is one of the most exciting talents on the modern knife scene.

His design, the VK-Zen, was awarded two prizes at the Blade Show Texas in collaboration with Poikilo: “Best Folder” and “Best in Show.”
And as if that weren't enough, the Orca model – also from Poikilo, but with a different design origin – won exactly the same awards at the Blade Show West 2024.
Four awards in one year. For a brand that is just four years old.
That's not just special – it's a real statement. For everyone who isn't satisfied with “good enough.” Poikilo Blades isn't just a new brand – it's a design promise.
For collectors, EDC fans, and tech enthusiasts who don't just look at the blade when it comes to knives, but at every detail.
