Raven Trison
Version: AK Grind - Black Micarta
Raven Trison – A Handmade Community Fixed The Raven Trison is the logical—and undeniably charming—evolution of the Ryson. If the Ryson represented Sam Tran’s bold statement of “back to the tool,” then the Trison proudly carries the spirit of “long live friendship.” Its name says it all: Tri for Sam Tran, Alex Kremer and Toni Tietzel—one knife community, three friends, one idea, and ultimately one exceptional cutting tool. While the Ryson intentionally avoided unnecessary frills and brought true tool character back into the folder world with its washers and functional Harpoon blade, the Trison takes this philosophy one step further. It is a medium-sized fixed blade, fully handmade in Germany, built without design gimmicks that may look pretty online but often become a nuisance in everyday use. This is a knife that cuts, works, accompanies—and simply makes you enjoy using it—while also looking remarkably good. Crafted from CPM Magnacut, the steel widely considered “hard to beat” even among dedicated knife enthusiasts, the Trison revisits the iconic Harpoon silhouette of the Ryson but gives it its own distinct identity. A matte Acid Wash finish adds both aesthetic coolness and practical forgiveness for tougher cutting jobs and potential scratches. Because Alex Kremer and Toni Tietzel are not only part of the project but also known for their grinding perfectionism, the Trison is available with two signature characters: the precise and highly functional AK Grind, a clean flat grind by Kremer in Acid Wash, and the legendary TNT Grind, Toni Tietzel’s ultra-sharp hollow grind featuring a crisp two-tone finish. Both versions come with either black Micarta or green Micarta handles, materials that instantly signal: this knife is meant to be used. Because Sam Tran (Raven The Pirate) has an exceptional eye for aesthetics, every Trison ships in a premium leather sheath handmade by Black Circus Leatherworks, complete with an authentic brass rivet that delivers the unmistakable black-and-gold Raven The Pirate look. In the end, the Raven Trison is exactly what happens when four friends build a project not for likes, but for the love of the craft: an honest, robust and character-rich EDC fixed blade that looks like a custom, feels like a working tool and is entirely handmade in Germany. Even the blade logos carry a personal touch—each one was precisely lasered by the team at Daily Customs in Hamburg, ensuring crisp, clean markings on every single knife.
