TNT Knives Custom Fixed Suminagashi Cocobolo

Anyone who knows Toni's work knows: no knife leaves his shop without a reason for every line. This one is bigger than his typical customs, cleaner in silhouette — but the complexity is all still there, just in a different place.

Mirrored Geometry, by Hand

The blade geometry is mirrored exactly on both sides — choil, bevels, the transition to the spine. All by hand, no CNC, no template. Anyone who knows how much experience it takes to get two sides of a blade symmetrical on a belt grinder understands why that alone justifies the price.

Unetched Suminagashi, 61 HRC

The blade is unetched Suminagashi steel. Look closely and you can already see the layers — but the real contrast comes with time. A natural patina works its way through gradually, and the layer pattern becomes more visible with every use. The knife changes as you carry it. Hardness 61 HRC. The blasted and washed finish suits it well: open enough to let the patina develop. Blade length approx. 10 cm (4"), overall length approx. 20 cm (7.9"). The TNT logo is on the spine, subtly placed.

Cocobolo

Cocobolo is one of the densest handle woods around. Deep red, with dark streaks that shift depending on the light. No two pieces look the same. Toni shaped the handle so the choil sits where it should and your hand stays put. That doesn't happen by accident — it comes from years at the grinder.

The Sheath

Fully tooled leather, dark patina, double stitched. Toni does all of it himself, from shaping to stitching. You can tell.
