The Entropic Anodized Scales are true one-of-a-kind pieces – each pair is crafted through an elaborate process that feels more like artisan work than mass production. Starting with precisely milled titanium scales, each set is hand-polished, chemically treated, and then entropically anodized.

The result?
A shimmering, gemstone-like surface with vibrant color play and the distinctive Lightning Pattern. Reflective but not flashy. Smooth but with grip. Elegant but wild.

How does it work?

Entropic anodizing involves temperature, acid, and perfect timing – a real art form. Temperature variations create the patterns, while acid and flame bring out the colors. Afterward, the surface is passivated to preserve the finish and give it a tactile feel that’s reminiscent of jade or polished stone.

Because each set is made by hand, availability is always very limited. New pieces are produced irregularly by Piratech, and we’re always happy when we’re able to secure a few sets for you.

Crushing hazard

These magnets attract each other at high speed and can pinch skin or fingers. Injuries such as bruises or fractures are possible. Handle with care.

Neodymium magnets are not toys. Swallowed magnets can be life-threatening, as they may attract each other inside the body and cause serious internal injuries. Keep out of reach of children at all times.

Strong magnetic fields can interfere with or damage electronic devices such as smartphones, credit cards, hard drives, or pacemakers. Maintain a safe distance of at least 20 cm from such devices.

Fire and explosion hazard

Magnets must not be machined, drilled, or cut, as they may splinter or ignite. High temperatures (above 80 °C) can permanently reduce their magnetic strength.

Temperature resistance

Standard neodymium magnets are not resistant to high temperatures. Do not store them near ovens, heaters, or in direct sunlight.
