Four Bombs, One Job!
Probably the best-known titanium bottle opener in the EDC scene is dropping – and in four sizes at once. The Beer Bomb by NotoriousEDC is opener and little pry tool in one, machined from grade-5 titanium and made to be used rather than admired. Pick the bomb that fits you and your EDC kit:
- Baby Bomb – the fun-size version at 3/4 of the original. At roughly 4.8 mm and only around 17 g it lives on your keyring, in your backpack or in the glovebox. Don’t let the size fool you, it pops caps like a big one.
- Original – the benchmark at roughly 6.4 mm thick. The classic everything else is measured against.
- Big Poppa – 50 % thicker than the original, around 9.5 mm and about 60 g. Sits really solid in the hand if the standard feels too dainty for you.
- Atomic – twice as thick as the original, around 12.7 mm and just under 79 g. Not subtle, no question about it! If you’re after understatement, you’re in the wrong place.
Why do we carry this tool? Because a comparable model was classified as a prohibited weapon by the BKA (Germany’s Federal Criminal Police Office), but we found a clean solution. Together with NotoriousEDC we developed a 3D-printed insert (with the Knife Lounge armchair, of course) that closes off the opening and puts an end to any discussion.
