A ruler should be missing in no Feddermappe - that much is certain times. Lightweight aluminum is there certainly the material of choice for us EDC fans. The ingenious thing about this ruler are the milled teeth at the ends: here you can determine the angle of the cutting bevel by putting on the blade of your pocket knife. This allows you to keep the original angle when resharpening and not accidentally widen the bevel (which usually does not look so nice, especially with somewhat thicker blades). The scaling of the aluminum Ruler is held in centimeter and inch and thus absolutely internationally positioned.
