Knife Lounge – Passion for Knives, EDC & Craftsmanship from Hamburg
The Knife Lounge grew out of the Altonaer Silberwerkstatt – a traditional workshop in the heart of Hamburg. In 2018 we took the digital leap and found our true love: pocket knives and everyday carry (EDC).
From silver to the soul of steel
Our roots are in real craft – sharpening, silversmithing and electroplating. Then one knife changed everything: a Chris Reeve Sebenza. It was our first high-end knife and it completely captivated us. From that moment on, our mission was clear: we don’t just sell the world’s oldest tool – we tell its stories.
Our mission
We bring special knives and EDC gear from around the world to Germany and Europe. For us, EDC is more than “something in your pocket” or a random promo pen. It’s a feeling: the small joy in the morning when you pocket your favourite knife, the perfectly balanced pen in your hand, the patina on a coin that reminds you to use your gear. EDC means choosing quality over generic — every day.
The team behind Knife Lounge
I’m Maxi Hänsch – owner, master craftswoman, and daughter of a bladesmith. With me is Felix – a lifelong knife nerd with a deep knowledge base and a seriously impressive collection. Yvonne and Ela are the friendly voices on the phone and the faces you’ll meet in our store. In our silversmithing workshop, Marcel, Martje and Luca bring metal back to life – from table silver to titanium.
