The Redington was developed in collaboration with the SERE East School.

SERE stands for Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape — a training program that’s not about theory, but about performing under real-world conditions. Cold, wet, exhausted. Situations where your gear isn’t just helpful — it has to work.

That’s exactly the environment this knife comes from.

Designed together with instructors on-site, nothing about the Redington is случай or decorative. Every detail follows one principle: reliability.

The roughly 13 cm (5.1") blade made from CPM MagnaCut delivers exactly what you need in demanding conditions. It holds an edge, handles stress, and resists corrosion when things get wet and messy.

The black canvas Micarta handle scales provide a secure grip even when your hands are cold, wet, or simply worn out. No slipping, no adjustment — just control when it matters.

The sheath is just as purpose-driven: the Kydex sheath is manufactured by TRC Knives. Known for precision and clean execution, it holds the knife securely and does exactly what it’s supposed to do — no more, no less.

What makes the Redington stand out isn’t a single feature, but how everything works together. The blade geometry allows for controlled, precise work as well as more demanding tasks — without feeling out of place in either.

The name Redington carries real history.

In the late 1800s, Redington was a logging town deep in the forests of Maine. A place shaped by hard labor, harsh weather, and people who depended on their tools every single day. When the timber ran out and the rail lines were removed, the town slowly disappeared from the map.

What remains is a rugged, remote landscape that still demands the same level of endurance. Today, parts of this region serve as training grounds for SERE programs.

That connection defines the Redington: a blend of historical toughness and modern survival requirements — built for environments where gear has to prove itself.
