Sharpened Where It Matters
The Berg Blades Sweeney V2 is essentially a best-of design drawn from across the Berg Blades lineup. Take the handle of the Barber, pair it with the blade of the Tick, and rethink the opening with a thumb stud instead of the previous thumb hole. Sounds simple – but it isn’t. The Sweeney works because the overall design feels cohesive. Nothing looks added on, every element flows naturally into the next.
With the V2, the right refinements have been made. The knife is slimmer overall – both blade and handle have been reduced slightly, making it feel more agile in the pocket and lighter in hand. At the same time, weight has been lowered without introducing any sense of fragility. It remains a knife you can use without thinking twice.
The handle takes a clear step toward minimalism: no more overlays, but a clean full titanium construction. Precisely milled textures provide extra grip without creating hotspots – and they look just as good as they perform.
For the blade, Berg Blades now uses CPM Magnacut. This steel delivers a balanced mix of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance – exactly what you want from a reliable EDC knife.
Deployment is handled via thumb stud or a subtle front flipper. Both are smooth, controlled, and simply fun to use. Ceramic ball bearings running on hardened steel washers ensure a consistent and durable action.
What remains is the unmistakable Sweeney character: a modern EDC folder that blends seamlessly into your daily routine and is ready when you need it – opening packages, making quick cuts, or just being a dependable companion in your pocket.
Note: This run is limited to just 60 pieces per version.

Warning / Safety Notice:
Risk of cuts: The most common hazard when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can easily penetrate skin and tissue.
Blade slippage: Improper handling or applying excessive force may cause the knife to slip, leading to uncontrolled movements and potential injury.
Injuries from falling knives: Knives should never be left unsecured or placed near the edge of tables or work surfaces, as they may fall and cause injury.
Dull blades: Dull knives pose a higher risk of injury, as they require more force and are more likely to slip. Knives should therefore be sharpened regularly and properly.
Improper use: Using a knife for purposes other than its intended use (e.g. as a prying tool) can damage the blade and may result in accidents.
