Some people build model trains in their garage. C. Thomas Guething? He builds his own CNC machine - and programs it himself. Since 2019, he has been manufacturing sophisticated EDC gadgets in Colorado under the name Guething Knives that look like they come straight from the future.
What began as a fascination for knives quickly became a serious hobby - and eventually a small but fine one-man manufactory. Thomas designs everything digitally, loves precise lines, futuristic shapes - and above all hexagons.
His best-known design is the Micro Chit - a small piece of titanium that is somewhere between a piece of jewelry, a hand flatterer and a statement object. Inspired by his love of geometric perfection, the Chit is more than just a bead: It is a stylish accessory for a key ring, zipper or lanyard that no EDC collection should be without.
