Large Gentleman Folder

The Lux from Vero Engineering is a milestone in many respects. First of all, this knife won the “Best Factory Folder 2024” award at the Blade Show in Texas, which is quite a statement considering the competition.
The Lux is Joseph Vero's clearest and most distinct design to date. Here, the knife has been reduced to the essentials, leaving an incredibly elegant and slim line. You could almost call it an XXL gentleman's folder.

On the show side, it is above all the hollow-ground (never before seen at Vero) drop point blade made of M390 steel, which is particularly elegant with a long swedge. The rather neutrally shaped handle with its two titanium scales offers a fantastic grip and is remarkably light, especially when closed. Despite its considerable length of 22 cm, the Lux weighs just 107 grams. This was made possible by elaborate hexagonal milling of the inside of the handle scales. For comparison: The Paramilitary 2 from Spyderco weighs 111 grams, but has no titanium scales.
In contrast to previous models, the Lux was manufactured by Reate, which is particularly noticeable in the truly incredible precision and the silky smooth running of the ceramic ball bearings.

The Lux is available in five different configurations:

(blade finish / handle material)
  • Hand Satin / Bead Blast
  • Belt Satin / Bead Blast
  • Bacon Damast / Bead Blast
  • Stonewash / Bead Blast

Manufacturer "Vero Engineering"

Joseph Vero is the man behind Vero Engineering.
The brand name can be taken literally in this case - Joseph actually graduated as a mechanical engineer from Florida Atlantic University and has been working as an independent designer ever since.
His field of activity ranges from pocket knives, pocket tools, to flying drones and the necessary hardware, to his self-built, purely electrically powered motorcycle.
. After various drawings, CAD files, 3D printed prototypes, a few more drawings and many sleepless nights, it was finally time for the first Vero engineering knife to see the light of day in collaboration with Bestech (who also make the Heidi #1 for Heidi Blacksmith, for example).

All Vero products are characterized by the highest manufacturing quality and a thoughtful, mature design.
